一打は、
始まりにすぎない。
Sound lives between force and stillness: in the breath of the flute, the resonance of the drum, and the people gathered around both.
音は、力と静けさのあいだに宿る。笛の息、太鼓の余韻、そしてその響きを囲む人々のなかに。

Shinobue brings a different intensity through breath, tone, and the space between phrases.

MikAnS
A Hawai‘i-based trio for taiko, shinobue, shamisen, and voice.
太鼓、篠笛、三味線、唄によるハワイ発のトリオ。
Formed with Anju Madoka and Michael Gonhata, MikAnS performs Japanese folk repertoire in contemporary arrangements that include movement and improvisation.
